Japan’s trade negotiator Akazawa is speaking and says that US and Japan agree to continue vigorous talks on trade.

Yesterday Pres. Trump enacted a 25% tariff on Japanese goods into the US effective August 1. That gives some wiggle room between now and then for further negotiations, but the clock is ticking once again.
The USDJPY is pushing two new highs in the current hourly bar on the chart below. The price is away from the high of a swing area near 146.288. The current price is trading at 146.73.
