At 2300 GMT /1900 US Eastern time Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta President Raphael Bostic (moderator), Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland President Loretta Mester and Federal Reserve Bank of Boston President Susan Collins participate in “Central Banking in the Post-Pandemic Financial System”.
All of them have been vocal recently, all warning of holding rates for longer:
- ICYMI – Fed’s Mester says forecast of 3 rate cuts this year is probably too many
- Fed Atlanta Fed Pres. Bostic: Fed’s high priority is to get inflation back to 2%
- ICMYI – Fed’s Collins warns of prolonged path to inflation target
The Reserve Bank of New Zealand follows later, widely expected to leave NZ’s Official Cash Rate unchanged at 5.5%:
